Description: The purpose of this dataset is to provide a cartographic representation of the outside boundary of the combined Highlands Preservation and Planning Areas. This dataset was derived from a multiple-feature dataset developed to correspond to language in the codefied version of the NJ Highlands Water Protection and Planning Act (P.L. 2004, Chapter 120) and in support of the 2008 Regional Master Plan. The features were dissolved into a single feature.
