Elementary, Secondary, and Unified School Districts are included. Most areas of the state are covered either by a Unified district, or by both an Elementary district and a Secondary district. The school districts covering Joint Base MDL in Burlington County are an exception. Details are available in the district layers metadata. The layers in this map service are based on high-quality municipal boundary data, published by the NJ Office of Information Technology, Office of GIS (NJOGIS), for the boundary locations; and on U.S. Census Bureau (TIGER) School District Boundaries for the group of municipalities to include in each district. Details of data development and currency can be obtained by searching for each spatial layer on the New Jersey Geographic Information Network (NJGIN). </SPAN></P><P><SPAN>Note to service users who incorporate service layer(s) into an application or published live map: The NJ Office of GIS, as publisher, would like to provide early notification of service changes that may affect the application or map. </SPAN></P><P><SPAN>To do this, we need the name of the service layer(s) in use, name of application or map, and contact information for it, both technical steward(s) and business owner(s).
